“Visible Silence” is a documentary film sharing the stories of Thai toms, dees and lesbians striving for visibility, authenticity, and acceptance in a highly traditional society.

With support from the Horizons Foundation, Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, Frameline Completion Fund, GAPA Foundation and others, Award-winning filmmaker Ruth Gumnit and her binational (Thai-U.S.) have finished the film!

We are thrilled to announce our October 10 and October 14 Asian premiere at Women Make Waves Film Festival in Taipei!

Also on October 14, we will celebrate our Thai premiere at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand in Bangkok.

We will screen on October 22, in Chiang Mai, Thailand at Documentary Arts Asia.
